Abdul Harid has proudly called Carlisle home for over 35 years and has more than 30 years of experience as a successful local business owner. A former owner of three Carlisle businesses and recipient of multiple business awards, Abdul has always believed in giving back to the community.

A local councillor since 2007 and former Mayor of Carlisle, he has supported numerous charities and community causes, including Macmillan Cancer Support, Cash for Kids, Eden Valley Hospice, BRAC and Sightsavers International. He has also sponsored local talent and football team.

Now returning to business, Abdul is bringing together his experience, passion for hospitality and strong connections with the local community. He chose this restaurant because he saw an opportunity to create a welcoming destination offering high-quality, authentic Bangladeshi and Indian cuisine to local residents, families and visitors.
